Portraits predominate—Artwork was selected by Barebrush CEO and founder, Ilene Skeen. Guest curator, Angela Nacol, serving as juror of awards, selected the three Curators' Choice nominees. Ms. Nacol selected a striking acrylic, Beautiful Like A Thorny Rose by Terence Kelly of Manchester, UK, for the honor of launching the month. In addition, she selected an oil, the sedate and authoritative portrait, Brianna by Jean Marcellino of New York, NY and a beautifully captured photographic moment, Circus #1 by Joseph Mays of Louisville KY.
One artist, Richard White from Coventry, CT is making his calendar debut with two oil portraits, titled #15 and #28.
Another portrait, Rubin by Gil Conradis of Melbourne FL is retiring, having now been selected for three calendars.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar. Three artists, indicated by asterisks (*
), are nominated for the Curators Choice Awards
. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. The top artist receives an additional prize.
Viewers can also vote for “The People's Choice,”
a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in The People's Choice win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced July 1st.
