May Days of Fine Art -- Guest Curator DS Wade is an independent curator, art administrator and artist. Ms. Wade, a native of the Midwest, has juried and curated shows in Michigan and New York, including shows for Rogue Productions, NYC, The Box Factory, St Josephs, MI, Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, and First Street Gallery, NYC. As an artist, Ms. Wade has exhibited in many states across US. This is her third time curating for Barebrush. She noted,

"I am looking for most are sound compositions in all genres that compel me me to examine the works more closely....compositional elements tell a story about the artist and their creative vision."

Ms. Wade selected three Curators' Choice nominees for May, (starred dates in the list): 1* Reflections (charcoal/carbon) by Donna Ellery of Mc Indoe Falls, VT; 14* Tangerine (watercolor) by Jacqui Morgan of New York City, NY; 20* Aly Sunglasses (oil) by Geoffrey Stein of New York, NY.

DiMaria of Santa Fe, NM; Tangerine by Jacqui Morgan of New York City, NY; Sleeping Boy by Jean Marcellino of New York, NY.

Art for this calendar comes from 13 states, Canada, Mexico, Spain and England.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar. Three artists, indicated by asterisks (*), are nominated for the Curators Choice Awards. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. The top artist receives an additional prize. Viewers can also vote for “The People's Choice,” a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in The People's Choice win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced June 1st.
