Falling in Love with Nudes -- Our Ninth Year Begins -- Guest Curator, Gary T. Erbe, is a widely-collected master of Levitational Realism, his own brand of trompe l’oeil painting. Erbe (pronounced err’-bee) has exhibited extensively museums and galleries throughout America, Asia and Europe. Erbe received an unprecedented 6 Gold Medals at The Allied Artists of America, Inc. Annual Exhibitions held at The National Arts Club, NYC. He also received the Medal for Lifetime Achievement in American Art from The Butler Institute of American Art, OH and the Salmagundi Club Medal of Honor, NYC. He continues to actively paint and will be having a one man exhibition in 2015 at the Canton Museum of Art in OH and in 2016 at The Heckscher Museum of Art in Huntington, NY.

Mr. Erbe selected three Curators' Choice nominees for September, (starred dates in the list): 1* Embrace (mixed media) by Terry Hinkle of St. Louis, MO; 11* Rapture (oil) by Bruce Erikson of Maineville, OH; 16* Mirror, mirror, ... #5 (oil) by Donelli J. DiMaria of Santa Fe, NM. The selections emphaisize female sexuality: Embrace, evocative and erotic; Rapture, a mystery in triangles; and Mirror, mirror,... a sophisticated reflection on the passage of time.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar. Three artists, indicated by asterisks (*), are nominated for the Curators Choice Awards. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. The top artist receives an additional prize. Viewers can vote for “My Favorite N*de,” a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in My Favorite N*de win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced October 1st.
