Nudes of the Fall -- Guest curator, Sharon Way-Howard is an active, passionate, professional artist and teacher, focusing on natural beauty. Her media of choice include watercolor, oil, acrylic and printmaking. Ms. Way-Howard is a long-time member of the Salmagundi Club and served as the 3rd Vice President, as well as on the Board for 12 years. She is former chair of the Salmagundi Art Committee. She is an elected member of the Pastel Society of America, Audubon Artists, American Artists Professional League and the Salmagundi Club. In addition, she is a regional representative for the American Society of Marine Artists and a Signature Artist of the Baltimore, Rhode Island and Missouri Watercolor Societies.

Ms. Way-Howard selected 3 Curators' Choice nominees for October, (starred dates in the list): 1* The Woman (oil) by David Schulz of Middletown, CT; 8* Windswept (sculpture) by Donald Kolberg of Palm Coast, FL; 22* Miss Pinky's Act (watercolor) by the late Jacqui Morgan of New York City, NY. In her comments, Ms. Way-Howard said that she loved the fun of Miss Pinky's Act; she enjoyed the play of shadows and light through Windswept, and about The Woman she said simply, "Masterful."

Artworks making their calendar debut: 10. One artist is making a calendar debut, Peter Millward of Stamford, CT.

Three artworks are being retired, having now appeared in three calendars: Direct gaze... by Chanit Roston of New York, NY; Onyx by William Jobling of Clarence, NY; Carol by Gil Conradis of Melbourne, FL.

Art for this calendar comes from 12 states, Canada and Mexico.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar. Three artists, indicated by asterisks (*), are nominated for the Curators Choice Awards. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. The top artist receives an additional prize. Viewers can vote for “My Favorite N*de,” a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in My Favorite N*de win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced November 1st.
