Bringing in the New—This April 2013 Photo Art calendar with twenty photos making their calendar debut exudes a shimmering energy. Barebrush founder and CEO, Ilene Skeen selected the art and the guest curator, artist, illustrator and teacher, David Reuss, selected the Curators’ Choice nominees. When he submitted his selections, Mr. Reuss wrote:
Great works to choose from!This simple statement is ringing endorsement of the new Barebrush process.
The three Curators’ Choice nominees selected by Mr. Reuss are three dramatic and enigmatic pieces: After Jacques Louis David by Mike Rudahl of Albuquerque, NM; Door 7 by Joseph Mays of Kentucky, and Jake - Back by Dan Simoneau, ISAP of Kenosha, WI.
One artwork, TaraMai by Corrie Ancone of Sydney, Australia, is retiring, having now been selected for three calendars.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar. Three artists, indicated by asterisks (*
), are nominated for the Curators Choice Awards
. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. The top artist receives an additional prize.
Viewers can also vote for “My Favorite PhotoArt N*de,”
a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in My Favorite PhotoArt N*
de win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced May 1st.
