Geometries—Guest curator, Angela Nacol, received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in art history/studio art at the University of North Texas and Master of Arts in art history at Texas Christian University. She has worked at museums and galleries in both Texas and New York for the past decade and has installed exhibitions in venues ranging from DIY art and music spaces in Brooklyn to museums in Europe. She is currently the art collections manager and associate registrar at The Forbes Collection and is an independent curator and consultant.
Ms. Nacol selected three Curators' Choice nominees, starting June with the unusual angles of Triangles by Peter King of Cochiti Lake, NM. Ms. Nacol also chose the royally posed James I by Robert Ferguson of Escondido CA, and the intriguing underwater shot, Exhalation by Michael Seif of Watertown, MA. Website viewers can vote on these photographs for Curators' Choice. Winners for the month are determined by public voting and the votes by the Barebrush cadre of guest curators. First place winner receives recognition and an additional award. The public can also vote on any of the photos in a separate poll, My Fav PhotoArt Nude. Barebrush exhibitions and awards are designed to help worthy artists win recognition and awards which strengthen their portfolio and the provenance of their work.
