Comfortable Skin, Part II — Guest curator, Ann Aptaker has been an arts professional for over twenty years. Ms. Aptaker holds degrees from Hollins College (now Hollins University), where she graduated Cum Laude and with Departmental Honors in Art History, and and MFA from Tyler School of Art, Temple University, where she earned fellowships for both years of study.
Ms. Aptaker selected three Curators' Choice nominees for October. Launching the month, she gives us Rompiendo Crisalida (Breaking Chrysalis) by Tony Lee of Panama. Ms. Aptaker also gives us Scarlett by William Zuback of West Allis, WI; and Door 1 by Joseph Mays of Louisville, KY.
Three artworks are retiring, having now appeared in three Barebrush calendars: Warmth by Janet E Gorman of Farmingdale NY; STUDY 59: MULTIPLICATION by William Thierfelder of Bayport, NY; and I saw an angel behind the door by Gabriel Sanchez of Mexico City, MEXICO. Retired artworks continue to appear in the artist's calendar gallery. For Barebrush Featured Artists, retired artworks also appear on the "Honors" page at Menu>Art>Barebrush Honors.
Barebrush.com is an international exhibition. Photo-Art Nudes in this calendar come from artists in six US states as well as Australia, Canada, Mexico and the Russian Federation.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar. Three artists, indicated by asterisks (*
), are nominated for the Curators Choice Awards
. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. The top artist receives an additional prize.
Viewers can also vote for “My Favorite PhotoArt N*de,”
a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in My Favorite PhotoArt N*
de win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced November 1st.
