Short Month Photo Sensationals -- Vaughan Lewis is a gallerist and preparator at MaganMetz Gallery, as well as participating in private curatorial projects. MagnanMetz Gallery is co-owned and directed by Alberto Magnan and Dara Metz. The gallery exhibits international cutting-edge, emerging and established artists working in a broad range of media. Magnan and Metz work closely with their artists to develop and promote their careers and support complex and unique projects in both the private and public sphere.
Mr. Lewis selected the three Curators' Choice nominees for February, starting the month with a happy group of ladies in hats, Why Me by Bare Ass Art Studio-Gabe Edwards from Lutz, FL. He also nominated a new take on the chick and egg question, Happy New Year, by Peter King from Cochiti Lake, NM; and love and life, Liebe Und Leben #7, by Joseph Mays from Louisville, KY.
Eight artworks are making their calendar debut. Ten artworks are being retired, having now appeared in three calendars: After Jacques Louis David by Mike Rudahl from Albuquerque, NM; Door 4 by Joseph Mays from Louisville, KY; Je t'aime by Gabriel Sanchez from Mexico City, Mexico; GARAGE STUDIO 5 by William Thierfelder from Bayport, NY; Jake - Stretch by Dan Simoneau, ISAP from Kenosha, WI; Jess T 6-20-10--4AB by Dan McCormack from Accord, NY; Portrait Study by William Zuback from West Allis, WI; Burning Desire by Janet E Gorman from Farmingdale, NY; Ambivalence by Michael Seif from Watertown, MA; Waiting by Gabriel Sanchez from Mexico City, Mexico.
The art for this calendar comes from 7 states as well as Mexico City, Mexico, Panama, and St. Petersburg, Russia.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar. Three artists, indicated by asterisks (*
), are nominated for the Curators Choice Awards
. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. The top artist receives an additional prize.
Viewers can also vote for “My Favorite PhotoArt N*de,”
a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in My Favorite PhotoArt N*
de win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced March 1st.
