Title: The Moon Shines on the River

Desc: This mixed media Art Cloth is hand dyed and hand painted on backed silk broadcloth. It was inspired by the 26th stanza of the Shodoka, a collection of Zen teaching poems also known as the song of enlightenment. This ancient collection of poems is attributed to Hsuan Chueh, a monk who lived in the years 665-713.

The wind blows through the pines,--
Whose providence is this long beautiful evening?
The Buddha-nature jewel of morality
