March 2017 — BAREBRUSH presents N*des-of-the-Month for March 2017. Barebrush offers the best nude art gallery and nude art contest, online since 2006. A total of 838 artworks were entered by 54 artists world-wide. Barebrush guest curator, David H. Reuss, Fine Art & Illustration, selected the art and chose the Curators’ Choice nominees. A total of 31 artists represent the 31 artworks for the 31 days in March. Five of the artworks were selected as nominees for the Curators’ Choice awards. Winners will be determined based on voting by the Barebrush.com curators. Viewers can see the N*des-of-the-Month calendar on the website.

About the March 2017 Calendar

The Naked Power of Nude Art -- Guest Curator, David H. Reuss, is an Executive Member of the Society of Illustrators. He has been a member of the Salmagundi Club since 1997 where he teaches painting and drawing. Mr. Reuss has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts and a Master of Professional Studies from Pratt Institute in Arts and Cultural Management. About his aesthetics in art he says:

Strength is what appeals mostly to me in art. The work can be any medium, style, subject or size, however in the end the work must have power.

Five artists, indicated by asterisks (*), are nominated for the Curators’ Choice Awards. Barebrush curators (past and present) vote on the Curators’ Choice nominees. The top two artists receive additional prizes. Selection limits and prizes are determined dynamically based on the number of entries. See the call page for more information.
