"Postcard from Manhattan" by Ilene Skeen April 2017 — BAREBRUSH presents Best-of-the-Rest calendar for April 2017. Barebrush offers the best art gallery and art contest, online since 2006. A total of 315 artworks were entered by 30 artists world-wide. Barebrush guest curator, Charles Yoder, Salmagundi Club, selected the art and chose the Curators’ Choice nominees. A total of 22 artists represent the 30 artworks for the 30 days in April. Three of the artworks were selected as nominees for the Curators’ Choice awards. Winners will be determined based on voting by the Barebrush.com curators. Viewers can see the Best-of-the-Rest calendar on the website.

About the April 2017 Calendar
"Three Views of Desi, 2015" by Jacqueline SaundersSpring Energy: clearly thinking of art without nudes -- Guest curator, Charles Yoder, is a painter, printer and teacher. He teaches printmaking at the School of Visual Arts, is the newly elected President of the Artists’ Fellowship Inc. and is Chairman of the Art Committee of the Salmagundi Club. Mr. Yoder is also a mainstay "Commander of the Presses" at the monthly Salmagundi Club monotype parties.
Mr. Yoder selected 3 Curators’ Choice nominees for April, (starred dates in the list): 1* Postcard from Manhattan (digital) by Ilene Skeen of New York, NY; 10* Three Views of Desi, 2015 (watercolor) by Jacqueline Saunders of Burke, VA; 27* Medium Rare (acrylic) by Dan Simoneau, ISAP of Kenosha, WI.
