Spring Drama, Part 3 — Ms. Della Clason Sperling served as the juror of awards for the three Barebrush May calendars, stepping in when the announced curator suddenly because unavailable. Ms. Sperling is no stranger to Barebrush, having selected the calendar art for February 2009 (when she joked about the short month!) and March 2012.
Ms. Sperling's three Curators' Choice nominees for Best-of-the-Rest are: Tilt Shopping Center, a watercolor by Ione Citrin of Los Angeles, CA; Three Days, Three Men, a watercolor by Jacqueline Saunders of Burke, VA; and Observer, a mixed-media piece by Geoffrey Stein of New York, NY.
Two artists are making their Barebrush calendar debut: Robert Copelan from Lynchburg, VA and Terence Kelly from Manchester, UK.

Each of the artists selected for the calendar receives two (2) complimentary listings for each artwork included in this calendar. Three artists, indicated by asterisks (
*), are nominated for the
Curators Choice Awards. Curators’ Choice nominees receive 8 additional complimentary listings. The top artist receives an additional prize.
Viewers can also vote for
“The People's Choice,” a poll which includes all of the art in the calendar. The top three artworks in The People's Choice win one (1) complementary listing for their artists. Winners announced June 1st.
