ARTIE 1 by Jon Rettich
Title: ARTIE 1
Desc: Artie, in the antique pilot's hat, frequented Washington Square Park singing and playing several instruments with many of the regular but casual groups that get together there.
He told a very few that he was fatally ill, preferring to play out his life without having to deal with well wishers that would simply be in the way of what he enjoyed.
He liked performing as an adjunct to a group, never alone.
He was always welcomed and will be missed.
